Magazine "Ruinous"

Bild
This magazine is based on one of seven deadly, specifically about Gluttony. Based on the technique of trends forecasting, I decide to produce a series of still life shootings around the idea of  “Dilapidated Capitalism”. The city of London has produced an excessive amount of wealth and consequently all kinds of excessive habits including binge eating. The magazine is a story of a banker’s rise and fall and his obsession with eating is the thread of the entire magazine.

Stillleben Gluttony

A still life shoot based on the idea of excess and and rebellion.  This is the final version of my first still life magazine, it was my aim to display remains of an excess. Today everything is so fast paced that is almost feels like there is no room for ecstasy, you can't just let yourself go. Between banker, renaissance professors and art students didn't seem too much in common but why do we all need to have something in common in order to get a long? Since online dating is like designing your own kitchen at IKEA we became really selective and less open towards coincidences. But it's usually the unexpected that makes us rethink and brings us forwards.  Cleaning up the aftermath the next morning, in such a therapeutic silence, drawn by the sunrise made this filthy ruin look like a renaissance painting, so smooth and fragile.

Today we've been experimenting with light and colour, trying to create a special setting of shadows, which worked surprisingly well... Camera:  Canon D1  Model: Talia

Trend Forecasting

Bild
Just like in the real world, chaos reigns in the fashion industry.  Greed took over the fashion industry. Nothing is more important than performance which contradicts innovation. The fashion companies are no longer taking risks, thus fashion has lost it's passion.  Therefore trend forecasting becomes more and more important in todays world. You are working for a client on one target market. Mainly based on apps, blogs, street style, emerging art movements, music, past& current fashion, exhibitions, culture, media, influencer and the consumer's pulse. You need to live and breathe your target market in order to predict a trend accurately.  My trend prediction for "Virtual Rebellion"

7 DEADLY SINS

Bild
Seven Deadly Sins  video Shown are the seven deadly sins: lust, gluttony, sloth, wrath,  greed, envy,  and pride - presented by a total of eight top models - (Gluttony is represented by two models): Lara Stone, Anna Ewers, Naomi Campbell, Karlie Kloss, Karen Elson,  Mariacarla Boscono, Kate Moss and Jourdan Dunn. Enninful wants to point to a fundamental, social development: "In our digital age with so many, so far unimaginable possibilities, we now tend to completely overexcite greed, lust, envy et cetera. It was my intention to interpret every sin through a  muse  in a modern way. "Each sin is accompanied by a special piece of music - selected by Beats by dr. Dre, sound for fashion is ”incredibly important," says  Enninful. Every sin has its own color - you can see Mariacarla Boscono, who boredly winks her oversized blue eyelashes, Lara Stone and Anna Ewers, in a candy-pink ruffle dress by Giambattista Valli, an unrestrained glu...

JELLY

Bild
This project is based on nothing but foam and jelly. In retrospect, it is incredible what you can get out of a single image. Everything we've learned so far has been applied to group work. The first time I felt the power of mind maps. With the help of patience and very good cooperation we've managed to grow beyond ourselves. Even if it was a bit stressful (besides the other project) it motivated you to even grow more within the next project. We concentrated on Jelly, after finding some really interesting words.  For the final shoot and creative layout we concentratedon the idea of "secretion" Experimentation with different "liquids" Final shoot "abnorm"

Jahnkoy x Puma: The Displaced

Bild
This was the first "proper" week. Even though the previous briefing was super exciting, Jahnkoy is so versatile that I can't remember ever learning so much in such a short time.  You don't realize that you are constantly learning something, everything is done intently, so you automatically use what you've learned. Maria Kazakova inspires me because she  embeds  deeper and more fundamental themes into fashion. Through the use of unconventional clothing materials, she constantly questions the consumerism culture and racial inequality issue in today’s fashion industry. The collaboration with Teeth magazine first seemed impossible. It took me a while to capture the spirit of Jahnkoy and not just to copy the idea, but create something new. The most beautiful thing was having a vision at the end of my sketchbook, everything made sense. Even if you feel that you have to learn everything new at the beginning of every project, it feels so much the better in th...
